I want to like this place more than I actually do. Being that there are not many great options in this area, it is one of the most interesting places to eat in the Mount Vernon/Bronxville area. That said, the food is only OK and the ambiance/furniture really need an upgrade. The services is very pleasant - so extra points for that.
The only restaurant in Westchester serving Cajun cuisine and doing it right! Ron always gets gumbo and jambalaya. The vegetable pot pie topped with mashed potatoes was also tasty.
What an awesome place! My 1st visit will not be my last.. Must eats are the blackened chicken, The alligator sausage, and the frog legs. The food and ambiance are reminders of old New Orleans. The hot sauces flavors vary from the sweet to hottest.
Very good food and drinks, staff friendly and attentive but the bathrooms could be a lot cleaner and updated as well as having plenty of toilet paper on hand, especially in the women's bathroom. The place is small with 2 entrance doors that open right into eating area letting cold air in the winter so I recommend shawl, sweater or jacket if you're sitting by entrances.
I have been looking for a delicious Cajun spot since I moved here 9 years ago after having gone to NY. I found it. Everything was so delicious. And fresh! I don't live in the neighborhood but I will absolutely drive over to have it again and again.
