This food seriously fed my soul! I tried this place for the first time after going to the gym and I ordered Banku with fried tilapia and a side order of fried plantain.
My God! I brought it home and devoured it.
The fish was nicely flavored and tender, the banku was just right (especially with the brown sauce... still not sure of the name) and the plantains were perfect and sweet.
Everything was also very fresh and the fish was made to order.
The owner was very welcoming and reminded me of my uncle in the way he explained the dish to me, making sure it would be a selection that I would enjoy.
Next time I go, I am going to try the Egusi (which is not on the menu, but I know they have it ;-).
The food is always fresh and the customer service is amazing this is a family ran restaurant who takes pride what they present to their customers. Whenever I go to Mount Vernon I have to stop bye there because the service, foods and drinks are unmatched.
I had Singapore mei fun, fried fish, jollof, and waakye catered for my cousin’s party last week. Food was exceptionally delicious. Customer service was A1. I’m so glad that we finally have an African restaurant in the Westchester area. Don’t just take my word for it, go and see for yourself.
