Wonderful new restaurant downtown. Thoughtful, kind and attentive service and fantastic appetizers. We'd recommend getting several small plates rather than a main for each--the mussels and sigara were especially good, accompanied by warm grilled pita. Thanks guys!

Our first time going to this restaurant. It was on a Saterday evening. Our waiter was very nice, smiled a lot but unfortunately did not speak english very well. So although the main dishes we received were very well prepared and excellent, lamb shwarma and lamb chops, my wife actually ordered the lamb shank. As far as the appetizer, we ordered the grilled octopus which has always been a favorite of ours of many preparations. However, at $18 , although tasty, they only served a few thin slices of octopus along with lots of grilled vegetables, so we really felt a bit ripped off. Overall, a restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, good food (from what we sampled) but poor service and at least one highly overpriced appetizer.

Melike is still open! They've just moved down the street on the same side, across from the post office and parking lot. Great food and service. Everything was super fresh and wonderful with generous servings. Pistachio baklava was moist and yummy and not drenched in syrup. Perfect! .. I'm only giving it 4 stars as the wine pricing was much too high, at least for my wallet. Otherwise, go for the terrific food!

Try their "Mixed Grilled Platter" with their imported red wine from Turkey. It is simply exquisite. Their homemade Humus is second to none and their Salads... very signature.

They prepare vegetarian dishes and Halal approved meat. They also cater and the restaurant can be booked for large groups.
