Saltaire Oyster Bar and Fish House

Well I really wanted to give Saltaire 4 stars but the service was a little below my expectations. The food was completely on point. The food was beyond good. What was disappointing was the service. Our waiter didn't seem all that interested in our needs. We meet friends here to enjoy local fare and we got decent for value but we also like to be well cared for when we're dining.

As far as food.. the branzino is awesome.. the desserts are tasty and the grilled octopus is awesome.. it would just be awesome if the staff understood what good service looks and feels like.

I surely recommend this place for the food as it was a great experience. I hope they get it together from a service level.. enjoy

Beautiful interior. Nice options in the menu and great beer list. Food was really nice. However last visit the tuna tartare had too much soy sauce.

Excellent oysters and staff are friendly. Shrimp tacos fell apart, would not recommend these. Everything else was great. Definitely will go again.

Excellent oysters, good beer, wine, & drink selections. Small plates are fun. Friendly service. A little pricey, but worth it.

Saltaire is emblematic of the incredible conversion of downtown Port Chester - and a welcome addition after decades of decay! This street is now so popular with great new bars and restaurants that you can't find a parking space on Saturday night. The food is fabulous, the wait staff friendly and quick, the bar side of the restaurant has an awesome English pub atmosphere. Chalk it up to their landlord probably, but the prices are unnecessarily steep - you may as well be in midtown Manhattan. Hard to swallow $210 for a meal for two in Port Chester!!!
