Love this place. I go for pizza every time I'm in town. My parents go often and say everything on the menu is good.

This is an old standby favorite. The food is flavorful and fresh, and the majority of the staff is attentive, friendly, and pleasant. Last night was my first bad experience there- my friend had ordered the Tuna Affettato (a seared pepper crusted tuna appetizer with crisps on the side) as her main dish. She pointed to it on the menu specifically, and asked that it be brought out at the same time as the other main meals.

When it was brought out, it was a completely different tuna dish- a sandwich, from the entree section. She tried to be polite and ask that she just get the crisps that came with the other dish, but the waiter said he'd charge her for the whole dish if she wanted it. When he circled back a few minutes later, I mentioned to him that she'd asked for the appetizer, and that she was trying to be polite, but what she had in front of her was completely not what she ordered. He actually looked at her, and said "yes I realized that when you asked for the crisps, but next time you need to be more clear". And then walked away again. When the check came, he had charged her for the more expensive, incorrect dish.

This was a table of six, she had ordered $25 worth of other food, and the rest of the table had ordered full entrees and drinks. It was not a matter of anyone trying to be cheap. The difference in price was $3. But at that point I had to go to the front to ask that the charge at least be lowered to the price of the appetizer dish that she had not gotten, asked for twice, and been belittled over. The server interrupted our conversation and asked what the problem was as I was trying to speak with anyone other than himself, and took the check away to make the correction. Only when I got other staff involved did he try to do the right thing. It was really an uncomfortable experience, and while I do love this place it makes me hesitate to return.

I have been reviewing locations for some time now. I consider all options before taking off stars or adding them. I feel everyone starts at 3 and can go up or down from that point. The service at this location is to say the least lacking. Inattentive wait staff, average presentation of the food when it was brought out and the general atmosphere of this location leave me feeling I would not be missing out if I didn't return. The price vs portion is a miss given the geographic location you take pricing in stride but the same area you hold to a higher standard in some ways. I feel they feel short in this. The mixed greens had some mixed browns, and the dressing was scarcely slapped on top. You could barely taste the pesto sauce on the overcooked bread of the sandwich. Unfortunately, I can't give better than where they started because the WOW factor simply wasn't there.
