    Very friendly people. Food is always good and fresh. Not fancy, but relaxed atmosphere. This is where the locals hang out.

    We arrived at 7:35 pm from a long day of being tourists in Boone and Blowing Rock and starving. They closed at 8 pm so on the way there we called to make sure they would still be open.

    Not only were they open but the service was exceptional! We didn't feel rushed and the employees (waitress/cook) didn't seem agitated we came in right at closing time.

    Food was quick and fresh. We made it a point to not to overstay and ate and went on our way. We appreciated the hospitality, especially coming in so close to them closing.
