MAYA Fine Food and Tequilas

Omg everything is insanely amazing: Food, Drinks, Service and Ambiance! Haydi behind the bar is also so amazing! Love this place! Never ate food so fast! So delicious!

As the season winds down, we finally get to try some new restaurants.

Started with Maya.
Elevated Mexican cuisine, not your typical restaurant.
We enjoyed homemade Guacamole, topped with crispy ribeye. It came with a side of Chicharones. *they were still popping from being freshly fried*
Tortilla soup with fried tortilla strips was perfect! *light and fresh*
I also had a lovely salad topped with oranges, apples, roasted beets, seeds, and cheese. I am not one for dressings usually prefer oil and vinegar. However, the vinaigrette that comes with it is delicious 😋
Last but not least, Street corn. Some places take it over the top and drown it in mayo. Theirs were seasoned just right.
I did see some other menu items I would like to try. You don't often see Mole on a menu and they have a few different options. Plus, I see they have Brunch.
Beyond that, the service was fantastic and they have a nice cocktail menu.
It is worth checking out if you're in the area.

Beand new, and good food.
Queso was the only thing that was just average.
Tacos and fish were good.
Thin crispy chips, great salsa.
Atmosphere lacking, but the blue bar was stunning.

Maya Restaurant in Ocean Isle Beach, NC is one of the best restaurants in the area. It is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. It is a high end Mexican restaurant. The food is authentic Mexican food. I felt like I was back in Merida! The owner and chef really gave this restaurant a considerable amount of thought. From the decor to the plating, everything is really put together nicely. The taste is the best Mexican food I've had in the United States. The prices are well worth it. The waiters are extremely attentive and look like they were plucked out of GQ magazine. They are very well groomed and dressed nicely. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We've been twice this week! Cute restaurant, great service and food. We can highly recommend- queso, Pollo Verde, Mahi tacos, enchiladas w/mole sauce, taquitos and Palomas to drink. Can't wait to return!
