Really fun lunch; Jen is a terrific waitress and really helpful. We'll be back on a Friday night for music on their ample deck. And flan! Check it out! So good to have another locally owned restaurant, especially one with a menu unique for this area. Go local!
FINALLY some Puertorican cuisine locally!! The wife (who was born on the island) & I made the visit here & loved it! Flavor was great!! And they even had pasteles, which is a rarity in general. The folks there working were really nice. I see so much potential for this group & I really hope they make it.
The place was very clean & bathroom (unisex) was adequate & clean. I think it was a little bit pricey & I could go into details on that but I fully understand the pressures of trying to make a business like this successful, in this area.
I fully see us making 2 to 3 trips a month here. Crossing my fingers that they can make it happen as I’ve seen at least two good Puerto Rican restaurants not make it in this area (Wilmington to Myrtle Beach) due to, what I think is, lack of support.
Waitress and owner were very attentive and accommodating. The food was great. We were from out of town on business and came across this place by accident. We all enjoyed the food. This place is very clean and spotless. Which was one of the first things I look for in a restaurant. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for Puertorican food.
Our first time in and we will be back!
Everyone was fantastic!
The menu is small but, mighty!
It's better to do a handful of dishes correctly. Then get overwhelmed with too much.
We had Empanada Trio, Chicken Empanada, and a Sloppy Puerto Rican with two beers. (We took the trio to go for Mom) Everything was handmade and very good!
Can't wait to go back and try some more.
Currently, they do have a beer and wine license. (They will be getting a full ABC permit if that makes a difference to you)
Definitely, stop in and enjoy a small taste of Puerto Rico in Shallotte.
So glad to have a new restaurant in the area. So good! Service was perfect. Met a lot of the family and they’re so excited to finally be open. The empanadas are not to be missed! Chicken and rice was very good as well. We’ll be back.
