Local's Family Diner

The staff was incredibly friendly with very quick and courteous service. The food was also delicious. We will definitely be returning for breakfast on our next trip.

I've been coming to Southport for approximately 28 years and have always heard about the tasty food served here. My first visit was a few days ago. I ordered the amazing deluxe platter meal (more than enough food for two). I'd definitely come back to eat here again. Unfortunately, the hours of operation are puzzling and prevent customers from enjoying the scrumptious food, especially during the warmer months when people are strolling the downtown area longer and looking for places to dine at for dinner. I guess there's so much money made during the week that weekend dinner crowds don't really matter. If you're ever in this area, please stop by this restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

A very popular local eatery. Food & prices are very good. Fast and courteous service. We will be going back. My wife had the blackened tuna which was amazing. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had the Fish & Chips and it was very good. Served with homemade potato chips and really good ranch dressing. A friendly place. If you have to wait for a table, it’s worth it.

This was a complete surprise. Had a reference from someone so I just stopped in for lunch. The tuna steak sandwich was to die for. There where a lot of other much cheaper items that looked very good. Prices were very reasonable and breakfast was always available. I'm definitely going back.

While we waited inside the front door (due to a major rain downpour), the cashier rudely told the approximate 5 people to not block the front door that were waiting for tables. Everyone had been moving as needed to let people in and out of the door. One lady asked where we were supposed to go and I believe the cashier's comment was outside. Needless to say, no one wanted to stand in the pouring rain. That woman and her friend promptly walked out. The cashier was unprofessionally eating at the register the whole time we were in there. As my husband cashed us out, she was sickening sweet as he noticed a tip jar for the cashier....are you kidding me????? The food was fine and our server was great but you should really consider getting rid of the cashier that was working on June 12, 2019. It was lunchtime. She is not good for your business.
