Had the pulled pork, collard greens, smoked potato salad, and vinegar based Cole slaw. The pork was amazing, the greens were very good (just a couple of overly charred pieces of meat in the greens), potato salad was excellent, and the Cole slaw was pretty good (would be better if had sat in the sauce overnight to soak into the cabbage). Even the cornbread that came with the food was amazingly good.
We have been visiting 12 Bones for over a decade now and have never had a bad experience. Best ribs in town by far, as well as great side items. It is one of the top 3 best local places in town. They have limited hours at this location of 11 to 4 Monday thru Friday, but it's worth the visit. Don't let the line discourage you, it moves fast and is worth the wait.
Chopped brisket with special red cabbage and corn pudding.
Recommended by a local brewery down the road while I was working.
I am completely blown away.
The brisket is tender, the corn pudding was moist and surprisingly flavorful. The red cabbage is unlike a dish I've had but wasn't too tangy and had the right amount of kick and flavor with small meat additions.
Amazing.
HANDS DOWN wonderful! The ribs are amazing and the sides... the smashed sweet potatoes, jalapeno grits, corn pudding, and collards are just as good. If you perfect the mac-n-cheese, I will give you a 5 star 12 Bones! Impressive indeed!
