The food was good. Grabbed brisket and sprouts for myself, and their vegan sandwich for my wife. I found this restaurant on Google while visiting the area, and it showed online ordering so we did. Well they do not. So my order never made it to the restaurant. I got a call from the service and they promptly canceled my order. I then placed a new order and sat at the bar for a very long 25+ minutes. So my order was correct and the food was tasty.... But the place was not busy... Lots of empty tables. So why so long for a sandwich and brisket? The online snafu is also something that needs to be fixed.
Great sandwiches.
We are in town for the Mastiff National Specialty. After the show we went searching for a BBQ place nearby. Ten minutes away from our hotel, the place was a great find.
I had the blackened catfish sandwich and my wife had a brisket. Delicious.
The wings and okra fries were delicious. The atmosphere was laid back and friendly. A great place to play a game of pool or est some yummy food.
While the barbecue game is strong here, the vegetable game is even stronger! I was so delighted with my meal. The fried okra are such a treat! And the triple greens are out of this world. Their smokey flavor and slightly spicy seasoning really made them a treat. The barbecue was awesome. Flavored with smoke, it was juicy and tender- just the way I like it. And I have to compliment my server who was gracious and friendly and had nice conversation and took care of me throughout the evening. And the tunes that they play are pretty sweet too. This is going to go on my list of must go back to many times. This is a very casual laid-back restaurant, and folks were just getting their dinner after work and having conversations. It's hard to miss in the strip shopping center and you have to loop around in a u-turn to get to the right side of Patton Avenue if you're coming from downtown.
This place is great. We went in on a whim because it's close to home and we're new to the area. We were not disappointed! The food is not only delicious, but two people can literally eat for less than $30 and have leftovers to take home. Truly one of our favorite places to eat.
