I went here on an Friday evening for drinks and apps. I believe it was the owner who sat us and walked us through the menu and that interaction alone made me love this place. He walked us through each item on the menu and loved that each dish was attached to a chef his background. I love love that the owner seems to give his employees creative freedom. Drinks were great as well, and I loved the atmosphere here! Will come again for a meal!
I had reservations for my birthday and when we arrived there was a mix up with our table. The hostess recognized and apologized and made it right. She was able to get us seated at our table and was very helpful. The general manager Brad greeted us right away and took our drinks while our waitress came over and went over the menu with us and answered questions. Brianna was our waitress and made excellent recommendations and exceptional service. They brought out truffle fries for us and the entire evening was great with delicious food and staff that made us feel like they were there just to make our experience great. It was probably one of the best customer service experiences I have had. I cant say enough positive things. Thank you for making my birthday feel special! The food was excellent but the staff made it memorable.
Wonderful experience. Their service impressed us both times we were there. The manager and staff are super nice and friendly, they will do their best to comfort their customers. In a cold October night, they tried to warm us by handing hot water mugs while while we were waiting outside and when our table able was ready the food was already placed on the table.
We tried to make a reservation same day but unfortunately the restaurant was all booked (which is a great sign of the popularity!) So we opted for take out. The food overall was really good from salads to soup to medium and entree plates. Flavors were bold and creative, taking comfort favorites and more exotic flavors and mixing the two. The cauliflower vindaloo was a group favorite, as was the schnitzel. The only downside was that the portions were quite small for the price. Perhaps this would have been overcome if we dined in with the ambiance and service to complement the food. However, we ordered a lot of food and was left still hungry. Also do not recommend the quail & waffle to go. No one's fault, but the waffle gets soggy. We would try Chestnut again dine in but would not recommend take out at all.
