A friend and I went here today, Sun. May 19, at about 12:30 pm because of the rave reviews. We were greeted with a sign that said “every server is YOUR server.” However, my friend got no butter for her toast and tried multiple times to get a servers attention by saying , “ Excuse me” and I raised my hand because four servers were standing in a huddle talking together about 15’ away.
Finally, a young man with shoulder length swinging locks of not so clean looking hair took her request
She expressed her displeasure at being ignored while our servers were chatting together. Mr. dirty hair came back , literally threw two containers of butter onto the table, and uttered a surly and insincere , “You’re welcome” to her thank you. i wonder why all the women servers had their hair secured in pony tails, and this young man’s hair was swinging over the tables as he mopped them between customers.
Ugh.
Went to brunch this morning and had the best service and incredible food. The staff at Famous Toastery were attentive to our needs and were engaging. The food was delivered to our table in a timely manner and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Famous Toastery on Tunnel Rd in Asheville.
Excellent food! All the waitstaff is helpful and nice. Food is spectacular. Tons of seating.
Wow! Can’t say enough good words about the place. From the food to the staff and even the prices. The speed is amazing. And no loss of quality. I love it. Has become a family regular. I will be bringing all of my out of town guests here
You MUST GO! The food, the coffee, the staff, the atmosphere - ALL OF IT is spectacular. We went on a Sunday for a late breakfast. A complimentary basket of cornbread squares with the most delicious, homemade apple butter was brought to our table after being seated. I had the Famous Hash (highly recommend!). The corned beef was made in house and was so flavorful! The eggs were perfect and were topped with a perfectly made hollandaise sauce. YUM!! My partner had the Classic Eggs Benedict (great choice) and a Raspberry Walnut Flapjack. The flapjack had chunks of raspberries with so much flavor that my partner didn't feel that syrup was even necessary. The coffee was also outstanding. The "everyone is your server" policy is super efficient. We will be back again and again!
