Reynolds Mansion is simply the best. We started staying with them in 2014 and have never sought lodging elsewhere in the Asheville area since. Billy and his staff are incredibly thoughtful, good humored and kind. They have thought of everything for you, but are available and warm in the event that you have a need while you are under their roof. The property surrounding the Reynolds Mansion is just gorgeous, landscaped in a way that highlights the natural beauty of the area, and there is even a little quaint pen containing ducks, chickens and honeybee hives - yes, Reynolds Mansion has their own honey! A giant wrap around porch with comfortable seating is the perfect place to take in the bird songs, and the mountain views during milder weather. There is also a second story porch available to guests. I won’t go into extreme detail on their hospitality (which is exceptional) because every review here probably boasts of it, but there is wine, coffee, tea and baked goods available to guests in the downstairs dining room (a grand work of artful restoration, decorated with portraits of Reynolds family folks, and other interesting art works, and glorious antique furniture). The rooms are spacious and beautiful, and exceedingly comfortable. All of the furniture throughout the house are antiques, but well-cared for and sturdy — this is not a place where you feel afraid you might break something just by leaning against it or sitting on it. In the morning, breakfast is served in the dining room with Innkeeper, Billy, and it is always a delight to catch up with him and hear stories about the restoration process of the house, the history of the Reynolds family, and to get to converse with other guests. Breakfast has always been amazing—every time. There is always fresh fruit, a wonderful baked good and some kind of hearty ‘main course.” They are pros at accommodating dietary restrictions without making it feel like a “thing.” This visit we had an egg and potato casserole that was gluten free (due to another guest’s restrictions) but it was so delicious we would have had no idea there was any dietary accommodation at play if Billy hadn’t told us. There is no better place to stay for business, rest, and play in the Asheville area.

This is a great example of how a bed and breakfast should operate. Billy and Sandy make staying at Reynolds feel like home. The breakfasts are awesome and the location is really great. I recommended this B&B highly.

My wife Amy and I just spent the weekend at this fabulous B&B. Although it wasn't our first choice it turned out to be the right choice. Upon arrival, and we were about 45 minutes late after the 6 pm check in, Sandy met us outside and greeted us like we had known each other forever. Once inside this beautiful home, Billy got us checked in and gave us plenty of helpful hints on navigating Asheville and his recommendations. We stayed in the Carriage House but was welcomed to come over at anytime and look around the main house. The breakfast each morning was fantastic, healthy and very filling. Billy's stories each morning had us on the edge of our seats wanting to hear more. Such a wonderful story teller and really knows this place like the back of his hand. The whole staff was very very courteous and hospitable. The suite we were in was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. I can't recommend this place enough. I rarely do google reviews but this place deserves 10 STARS!! Will definitely stay here when we visit this area again!!!!!
