Historic inn located in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Friendly, attentive to detail staff makes for a quiet, comfortable stay in the mountains. Our room is spacious, has squeaky old hardwood floors and is oh so comfortable and relaxing. Lots of spaces in the hotel to relax and unwind. Very large lobby area with overstuffed chairs and sofas, that are comfortable and inviting to read or talk or just sit quietly looking at the mountain through the trees; plus there are similarly inviting huge porches front and back and a small sitting/reading area in the hall just outside our room. Short walk to a few downtown shops and eateries. Convenient access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville and I-40 nearby. Highly recommended for a quiet, relaxing, convenient unwind.
You can tell a lot of effort has gone into upgrading the experience here. Great boutique hotel, with a beautiful front porch and sitting area, leading you into the lobby where you can check in and see the Milton restaurant.
Awesome sitting courtyard with outdoor seating for the restaurant too.
Wonderful area to sit at night around the fun gas fireplace. Staff was super friendly, entire place was clean, rooms smelled fresh.
Handicapped accessible, great food in the restaurant and a cool little bar.
Just up the road from the little town of Black Mountain, a fun place for shopping and eating!!

Black Mountain, NC has a serious gem here. Find someplace else to eat dinner, tho. Pricing on food was outrageous. Good, but not THAT good. Atmosphere was wonderful and the staff was very nice. Homey, welcoming, fun. Right in the thick of things with lots to do.
It’s a reasonable hotel. Had some neat things about it. The room was clean but lacking in some things that would make it more comfortable. The bedding was standard nothing special about it. Would be nice to have more than just a light comforter on the bed. An extra blanket in the room would be great. We had a room on the end of the building and the temperature was difficult to regulate. The 2 water bottles in the room were appreciated but would have liked to coffee/tea in the room. Probably would not stay here again.
