Phil's Bar-B-Que Pit

The food was amazing, the service was very fast and super friendly! We'll absolutely be back and we highly recommend this place. If you need a suggestion, try the Brisket!! It's absolutely delicious!!

My first visit here, but it was very pleasant. The staff are very friendly. You may read over the menu by the door before going up to place your order. My friend got sliced brisket which he said was delicious and I opted for the taco trio which came with a Brisket taco, pork taco and chicken taco and a side of home cut potato chips that were amazing! The ambience is pretty cool and laid back. Plenty of things to look at while you eat. I'll definitely be returning.

The staff was great and the food was served quickly and hot. The bbq was very dry and had to be soaked in sauce to eat it. The sauce had good flavor. Also the homemade chips could use some flavoring. All in all it was decent.

Stopped in today while we were out and about and must say we're so happy we did. The sampler platter is a great deal, plenty of food for 2 people to share. The homemade sauces are so so so good. The staff is super friendly. The food is super good. The service was fast. This was our first time here but definitely won't be our last. Perfect for a Sunday meal after Church. Prices are very affordable for home cooked Bar-b-que. The only thing they could do differently is re-open the Mini Golf outside.

Phil's is one of my favorite spots for BBQ in all of North Carolina! They have Eastern NC, Western NC style sauces, plus the inferior Carolina's mustard based sauce. Their service is quick and easy, staff are friendly and willing to make suggestions based off their favorite items, and there is plenty of seating. I strongly recommend the brisket, pork, and ribs. The hush puppies are out of this world as well! Definitely stop here on your way through town.
