Sadly this restaurant is closed. The owner retired. Unfortunately, no one took over. It was an awesome simple place.
This is an awesome place to have a very very good southern food. I am not too fond of some of the southern food but this place has sold me! I plan to go back as often as I can. Clean place and even in the bathroom. ((grin)) You can see the kitchen. You may be able to see some cook making cakes. The cakes and desserts are homemade. It is an odd place because it used to be a convenient store but it is quaint.
My best friend, Richmond, and I ran into Patsy Ann's on the way back from Nashville TN, to Cary NC. It might have been around 1:00 ~ 2 PM when we were in Valdese NC. We were really hungry and didn't want to go to the Subway that we saw on that same exit. So we decided to give it a try and we totally loved the food, especially the Mac&Cheese :). The owners were so lovely. I would definitely recommend this place.

We found Patsy Ann's by Googing "Valdese NC restaurants." What a delight! It was like eating at Grandmother's house again (in my case, "Mamaw's house"). I recommend the chopped barbecue and wonderful sauce with fried okra and collard greens. My boyfriend loved the roast chicken, squash casserole and mac 'n' cheese. We topped it off with coconut cake. Good Lawd!
Great home cooked style meals. You shouldn't leave hungry. And remember the fresh homemade desserts
