Michael Waltrip Taproom

We absolutely love this place! Mr. Waltrip had been there when we were there and came and sat with us and even brought my son dessert before his meal! (My son is a HUGE Michael Waltrip fan…he gets so disappointed when he isn’t there!). If you are a huge race fan, or just like a very comfortable environment check it out!

This place deserves every single star! The food, beer, service, and atmosphere were all great! We didn’t know if a taproom would be a good place to take kids, but it ended up being great! We even got the “best shirley temple ever”.

We got served super quick and all the food was delicious. Loved the IPA! Wouldn’t expect any less from Michael Waltrip.

Got the Single Mac Daddy and mw dust fries. Best meal I had while visiting Charlotte World Finals.

Made a second trip to Michael Waltrip Taproom last night after World Finals. Ended up getting a big one of The Big One after the flight. Had the G.O.A.T. burger boy was it delicious. The service and atmosphere was great. Look forward to coming back on our next trip!

It was disappointing...was it because we went on a "trunk or treat" night or...? We might have to go back and try again when there is no activities planned in the parking lot. The food was good, but barely warm, as it may have been sitting awhile before being served. Our server had no knowledge of the beer that is served, stating, "I don't drink beer". That is all well and good, but you should know the products you are serving. The place inside was nearly empty, but service was incredibly slow. The shining spot in this outting was the Michael Waltrip beer selection. They are great tasting and our party tried a variety of them and not a bad critique of any of the ones we enjoyed. I definitely would go back for the beer.

The service by staff was extremely accommodating, but had to be extremely flexible and apologetic based on the following.
The taste of the food was good, but the organization of the order from the kitchen needed a lot of work!!! 6 people and not a single order was without a hiccup. May I recommend ,if staffing is such a challenge, that your product is not satisfactory. Than shut the kitchen down and serve alcohol. $300.00 tab was not worth the spend.
I really want to write a letter to Mr. Waltrip and make him aware .
If given the opportunity, I would not go back.
