T&W Oyster Bar

T &W is a great place to enjoy all types of your favorite seafood especially oysters!
Jennifer and Nick were great at shakin' and shucking last night at the bar. Cocktails and oysters were fantastic. Also had the flounder that was lightly breaded and fried to perfection.
Long trip from our house in New Bern but well worth the trip.

I've been eating here off and on for years. I've never had a bad meal nor has anyone that has ever gone with me. Being local though, we o ly do take-out from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Last night, I had a Fat Tire beer, that was fresh and ice cold. The beer selection is pretty good.

My app was a cup of Mrs T's Clam Chowder. It is similar to a Manhattan-style. It was absolutely loaded with clam meat and great flavor.

The entree for tonight was the Steamed Shrimp platter with a side of coleslaw and baked potato. First and foremost, their slaw is some of my favorite. Its similar to what my grandma made and that alone makes it awesome. Baked potato was not overcooked, so basically it was a good choice. The shrimp were large (7-10 I believe), abundant and perfectly steamed and seasoned. They come on a divided plate with melted butter and cocktail sauce.

If you have the chance to go or are reading this to try and decide to go, then go. Always go.

Excellent service. Casual atmosphere. Great food! Sea scallops and bay scallops were delicious. All the seafood actually tastes different not like some restaurants were everything tastes like hush puppies. Highly recommend T & W.

T&W Oyster Bar, the staff was very welcoming to my family and I. We were down visiting family and just came from the fishing pier. Our waiter was awesome. He had some great recommendations. He encouraged and liked my nephews coloring.

I decided to order the combination fried shrimp and scallops. The scallops were so fresh, but they could have been fried a little softer. The she crab soup was good. The price of the oysters on the half shell seemed a little pricey. My sister tried them and wanted them to be a little more steamed or sauteed.

The portions were awesome on a small plate. We were amazed at how much food they can get on a small plate. We will be back to try the crab legs and other items.

Excellent food and service!!! Drove by the restaurant on the way to E.I. for vacation and came back to try. Nick, our server, was amazing, polite and accommodating. He made a point of interacting with our son and we appreciated his attentiveness.

As far as the food: The hush puppies were delicious! My husband and I both ordered the crab cakes and devoured them quickly as they were not stuffed with breading. The sides (green beans, coleslaw, apple sauce and Mac and cheese were all delicious). My mother ordered the shrimp and received a healthy serving. My father ordered the oysters and clam combination and couldn’t finish because he was so full. The oysters were a little on the small side, but were good.

We had a WONDERFUL experience and will visit again for sure. Thanks again to Nick. You truly know how to offer top notch customer service.
