    Vacationing here in Emerald Isle and read that Kathryn's was the place for great food and service. The wife had the Grouper, I had the soft shell crabs. Both dishes were top shelf and our waiter, Robert was excellent.

    Our second summer visit here for dinner. Again the food was 5 star. The adults in our party ordered either the filet special or the grouper special. Both were outstanding. The really big story however was how gracious the staff, especially Beth our waitress, was with the one and three year olds in our party. The kids had just awaken from naps and were miserable for the first 15-20 minutes. Our waitress Beth never lost her smile while explaining specials and taking our order. There were no discourteous looks from any staff. Bottom line is food is terrific, the martinis are very interesting and the staff was great, especially our waitress Beth!

    Wow! Excellent good. I got a filet that melted in my mouth that came with 4 perfectly grilled and seasoned shrimp and their smashed potatoes. Yum to the yum. They specialize in martinis, but have nice wine selection and a few bottles beers. Overall, the best food on the isle!

    The meal was delicious with a beautiful presentation. Our waiter was very attentive and took great care of us. We enjoyed it very much!
