    The single most pleasant dining experience I have had in North Carolina. Umi is fantastic.

    I'm not a big fan of Japanese, besides sushi. So I've heard alot of nice things about this place and I wanted to see what the fuss was about. This is a very nice, upscale, restaurant. Which only accepts reservations. We ordered 3 rolls of sushi. Must order soy wrap! And ordered 3 meals, which were all delicious. Everything here taste like how daddy cooks. And you know when daddy cooks, its delicious!

    The place has best sushi I've ever had in my life, period. Everything is so fresh and of excellent quality. I also love the small, intimate dining setting they have. Last I checked, it is reservation only, but you need to eat here.

    Amazing authentic cuisine. Get the two piece appetizers, such fresh ingredients and seafood. Would come here every day if I could! Great atmosphere and wonderful service. A must in Hickory!

    By far the best restaurant in Hickory. Quality, atmosphere, price & service are top notch. Fresh & delicious sushi that won’t break the bank. And the salad dressing...salivating just thinking about it. Very thankful that we found this gem! Back in Savannah now, but this remains my favorite sushi restaurant. Thank you!
