Parkway House Restaurant

This place is a hidden treasure! It is off on the side street so I had no idea it was even here until we went with friends. Great home cooking and huge serving sizes. I had the chicken salad cold plate and it was great. Homemade chicken salad, potato salad, coleslaw, hard boiled egg, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. It was a lot of food. It was 8 pm on a Sunday night but we received great quick service.

Really good food. We have only been here for breakfast, really broad selection and open on Sunday. This is highly unusual for a local. The price is right and most of the staff are very nice and attentive. Surprisingly, for being open for over a year now, the service can still be spotty. They never have a manager floating on the floor to maintain continuity of service, and some times things can get terribly out of sync and backed up.

Noisy atmosphere, it was designed to look nice but there are no soft surfaces other than the seats. It is noisy with only a handful of people. If you have someone sensitive to noise you might think twice before coming here.

If you can be amused by fumbling service once in a while and have a tolerant approach to noise then the price and quality of the food will win you over. If they could get those two things taken care of I would be more than happy to give them 2 more stars.

Veal Parmesan and lasagna was excellent. Waitstaff was friendly. Restaurant was clean. Prices were comparable or less than chain restaurants. I will eat here again.

Good food, friendly staff, great service! We ordered the chicken Philly cheese sub and the Greek salad with marinated steak. Had strawberry cream pie for dessert. All were very tasty!

Fast friendly service. The food was amazing! Flounder fried to perfection. The rolls surprised me with their flavor. Definitely will go back.
