I love this place! Been coming since around the time they first opened & we enjoy our food every time! You can’t go wrong with anything you order here. I always forget to take pictures of my food because it’s so good but this time I stopped myself. My current favorites are the Gold Standard smoothie, the Jacob Miller wrap, & The Biggie sandwich! Haven’t made up my mind on my favorite pastry yet.
Feel good about your food! I stopped by and grabbed a King Kong smoothie and am so glad I made a good choice for my afternoon treat! The smoothie was delicious and I even tasted some of the “asada” they make for their tacos. It was amazing! I’m happy to have found this gem in Hickory and look forward to coming back!
Found a gem while visiting Hickory NC! I'd been craving a good ham sandwich since my visit to Miami this past summer and they did not disappoint with the Goin' Ham Sandwich. Stacked with just the right amount of protein, simple yet super filling. Ashley the owner suggested I go with Swiss cheese since it's not commonly found on vegan menus. Man she was right. Their macaroni salad was nothing extravagant but again just right! The tacos were delicious, we had one of each protein to get a good taste and were blown away with texture and flavor. Only downside is we like spice and since they were just getting situated at their new location there was not a good salsa.Ashley tried to accommodate us with some jalapeños cause she's just awesome but tacos just need a salsa in my book. Gluten-free was a perk on all the "taco meats"
We also came back and bought a pound of each the "chicken" which we used to make some chicken in salsa verde Tamales.. totally recommend this hidden gem. Parking is in downtown hickory so it can be a pain but we found a free parking garage just a 2 minute walk from there.
Absolutely fantastic food. My carnivore dad said, “If this was served to me as real meat I would have no idea it wasn’t. It’s delicious!”
I am a whole food plant based eater myself and though I wouldn’t call most of their selection whole food, it is 100% plant based and so much better than anything else you’ll find in this part of the state. The tastes are top notch. I had a steak & chorizo tacos and was blown away by how tasty they were. The textures, flavors, and even the cheese on top were so dialed in. The people inside were super helpful and friendly too.
One note: their menu varies day to day so what you see here might not necessarily be what they are offering on a particular day. This keeps it interesting in my opinion but does mean you’ll have to stop by to see what’s being served.
Eat here! It’s affordable and just so good.
So freaking good! We had the breakfast burritos with chorizo and they are off the charts good! Even my non veg husband gave it rave reviews. Prefect size, fresh and filling. Quick friendly service. Check them out. Oh and the place is cute too, like fresh out of LA or San Francisco vibes. Love it!
