Absolutely delicious seafood and wonderful, attentive people! Our first trip to Murphy, NC was made spectacular and memorable by the places we ate... And Chowder House topped the list! Christy was so sweet and kind, listened to what we wanted to eat and made it happen! We ordered the spinach and crab dip with homemade tortilla chips...oh my goodness!!! We filled up on the appetizer! So we had to let that settle before we could eat the main meal of coconut shrimp and chips, fried oysters and lobster rolls. We were there about an hour and a half. We never felt rushed and although busy, everyone was waited on quickly and accurately with cheerfulness. We went back Sunday for lunch and the food was great again and so was the service, and we stayed until closing. We even left with extra tea to enjoy back at the cabin. Thank you Christy for such a wonderful experience and thank you to those behind the scenes who cooked our delicious food!

First time eating here and we were so pleasantly surprised. I would expect to find a restaurant of this caliber in Knoxville, but not Murphy North Carolina. Personally, I think it’s better than red lobster. Our waitress was also the baker and her desserts are mouthwatering. No frozen food here, Top notch cook and top quality food. A 30 minute drive for us, but well worth it. Great place to bring a date or celebrate an anniversary. Small quaint and cozy. Superior food and service. These people really take care and pride in what they do. Highly recommend.

my husband and I went there today for my Birthday. I'm from the State of Maine originally have eaten a lot of fried whole belly clams in my lifetime. I ordered them today and I can honestly say they were the BEST I've ever eaten. Wonder crispy fries and great coleslaw, Portion so large I've got an extra delicious dinner again later. My hubby had clam strips and he also raved on them.
