Sea Glass Cafe

The food was terrific...Service was outstanding. For whatever reason,staff consisted of one waitress.... She was terrific. Customers were seated,menus were provided,tables were cleared,orders were taken,she was a dynamo. Did the work of 3 or 4...only saw one understanding the situation couple that couldn't or wouldn't understand her predicament, they left without service. Their loss,cause this young lady went above and beyond to provide a service that was above and beyond. And the breakfast tacos are great.
I'm heading back...thats the breakfast place to be.

Our food was good and so were the prices. If you are a coffee drinker, they have a coffee bar. We had the stuffed pancakes, apple pecan and the strawberry banana, both were good. Service was okay, not great. Busy place.

Usually a pretty good spot for breakfast in town. The wife loves the self-serve coffee bar and I'm a big fan of their pancakes. Only reason I rate a 4 instead of a 5 is inconsistency. There have been a couple of times where the food just simply wasn't as good as it usually is.

Sea Glass Cafe is one of the hidden gems of New Bern. They have the best breakfast menu in New Bern. I've never had a bad meal here. The Craven County Eggs Benedict is definitely a wise choice. If you're hungry the breakfast tacos are tasty and very plentiful. I rarely can finish all of them. The staff is always friendly and their service is top notch. It's good. Unfortunately, they fall into the gluttony trap so many local establishments do. In exchange for doing something truly unique and venturing out on a limb, they really jam the calories in there as though it's any kind of substitute. They do have like five different kinds of Eggs Benedict, though. And they're southern pecan coffee is good. So, there's that.
