Baxter's 1892

All I can say is "wow"! The decor, the fabulous drink menu, and yummy tapas, made me happy to be in New Bern. Great staff, met the owners and loved the band.
We can't wait to go back and take our friends and family when they visit.
This town is shaping up nicely.

Baxter’s 1892 is a fantastic addition to New Bern’s music and nightlife scene! Immediately upon entering, it feels like you’re transported to another space and time. This place is a cocktail & tapas bar and entertainment venue with the most incredible attention to detail. Baxter’s 1982 provides a big-city jazz lounge experience with its own unique twist, right in downtown New Bern. While the food and drinks are incredible, the attention to providing a live music experience every evening is the feature what’s really show-stopping. A fantastic place where I’m sure I’ll be a frequent patron!

This place is really fun. Walking in I felt like I was in a whole different world and not little old New Bern, NC. Beautiful building, awesome little lounges, and great music. The drinks were great and staff was attentive. I have not had the chance to try the food yet but I plan to soon! Great addition to the town. Finally our night is growing in a good way.

Baxter’s is a brand new destination in New Bern. We are so impressed with the atmosphere. They have incorporated the most beautiful historic building and brought it into modern day. They have kept the integrity of this building and it’s history. Truly stunning! It is such a beautiful space. Staff was amazing and very attention oriented. Can’t wait for them to roll out the full menu. What we had was very flavorful and would order again. We are excited to come back! Cheers to a great new spot for drinks and live music!
