Melvin’s at Riverside

The fried pork chop isn’t on the menu yet but is available and is off the chain!!! Seasoned and cooked perfectly! Absolutely delicious!! We ordered a variety - pork chops, chicken and fish and shared. Everything was wonderful!

Great Experience! Great Food! Great Service! Minor issue but that was quickly resolved with their great customer service skills. Smiley was my server who knew how to make me and my partner feel welcome. I love it here and will come back again !

Tried this place for the first time for lunch the other day. To start, service was great. I can't remember our waitress's name but she was very nice & checked on us often. The food was fantastic! I got fried chicken, collards, Mac & cheese, cornbread, and banana pudding. The chicken was hot crispy and juicy. The collards are better than my Mama's (shh don't tell her) - they were my favorite thing on the plate. The Mac needed a little salt for my taste but still good. But, that banana pudding- man somebody's mama/grandma put some extra love into that. It was absolutely delicious. I'm so glad they opened up right down from my house, I'll definitely be back.

Melvin's at Riverside is the Place to Go! They have only been serving mouth water entrees for a couple of months now but they are quickly becoming a fan favorite. Once you enter you are greeted with a nice large dining area with enough room for the family or even Large Parties of 15 or more. They offer your favorite plates like Fried or Grilled Chicken, Ribs, Seafood (Fish & Shrimp) paired with a Fresh Salad & some great Soul Food sides like Collard Greens, Baked Beans, Mac x Cheese with Cornbread . The menu is expanding daily & their Fresh made Desserts take the cake. You will find them just down Person street on the right after you cross the bridge. Stop in today for Dine-In & Takeout you won't be disappointed!

This location isn’t new to me so knowing it’s a food spot I had to try it. I ordered the Chopped or Pulled chicken, collard greens and Mac-n-cheese. I loved it. Now the collards had a little kick to it but I love spicy. Also, I got me a slice of red velvet cake. Go check out Melvin’s.
