“Ate here for brunch on Sunday. Had the shrimp étouffée and it was fantastic. Portion size was large. They serve brunch on Saturdays and Sunday until 3. I would recommend a little more French bread to soak up the delicious sauce. As for the bad reviews it seems most of them are focused on price vs taste. Service was polite, efficient, and very quick. They also have Apple Pay.”

“My son works at the mall and told Chris and I about Rookies Express as Chris loves tacos. We decided to try it today. He got the mini birria pizza and I got the burrito California. I do have to say that it was a big burrito and the wrapper was just too much for me. I started tearing it off so I can actually enjoy the inside of the burrito. The burrito had rice, birria meat (you can choose your own meat), fries, pico, beans and sour cream. The rice inside was flavorful and the meat too. I didn’t care much for the beans as I am not much of a bean person. Chris had the pizza and it wasn’t as crunchy as he was hoping it to be. It seemed rushed to get the order out. The pizza was hard to eat as it was falling part, hence why the taco should’ve been more firm so it won’t fall apart when picked up. I bit into a piece a couple of times and there was flavor. They also gave a dipping sauce for it and that tasted good. They also gave guacamole, sour cream, hot and mild sauces with the pizza. I would go back to this place but maybe wouldn’t drive all the way to the mall as I live in Hope Mills and they have a good truck right next to Sonics.”

“Been waiting for opening day to try a new food and beverage establishment on a Yadkin Rd. I had Breakfast that consisted of 3 eggs cooked to my choice, 2 sausage patties, grits, a biscuit and a waffle all for 8.00. There biscuit and breakfast sandwich’s both at 2.99 for which ever you like. I am looking forward to going back to try lunch.”

“First time eating here and I ordered a grains & greens bowl. The choices were plenty and the food was great! I asked for light serving of rice & lentils - just watching my calories - and by the time I added the dips/protein/veggies/toppings, I still had a lot of bowl. Sure, there are some options that have a higher calorie load but the info is displayed so you can make the choice that is right for you. Great place for good wholesome eating! I will definitely be back!”

“I was going to order the normal American choices, but Mr. K recommended that I let him pick something better for me. I was not disappointed. Instead of spring rolls, he recommended beef wraps and I stead on sweet and sour he recommended braised pork belly. Both were very delicious! My wife is Asian and this is one of the few restaurants that she approves of. 10/10, most certainly will return. P.S. Don't expect an American taste, expect an authentic Chinese taste.”

“Had a taste for some late night food. Looked online and found this location which at first I was confused considering it was still Smokey Bones?But it was well worth the try! Placed an online to order with the Thursday night special it was ready in a timely manner. The staff was very helpful and the to-go order process and cashier were great! Kind of perfect because I decided to have a drink while the last of my order was being prepared. The late night bartender guy is great and the new renovations with current late night staff makes me want to stop in for dinner next time. Great vibe and specials for a good night out. Thanks for the perfect return meal to the city!”
