Uptown's Chicken and Waffles

1. There fried pickles are amazing the beer batter is amazing ????

4.the chicken is a little juice but that doesn’t matter it is very good
5.shrimp was fresh and cooked just right but just BEAUTIFUL

7.the waitress I had mad sure a had a good amount of soda and was very polite

The best fried chicken in town!! Shrimp and grits are delicious too!! This is the only place that I will be going to get my chicken from now on. The waffles are the best I’ve ever had with the honey butter. The Mac and cheese and greens are good too! Love love love this place and I am on my way there now!

Heavenly! Hands down the best Chicken & Waffles I’ve ever had in my life.
I had the sampler: chicken was delicious, the waffles was European style (light, airy w/ crispy outside), and the shrimp & grits were yummy (and I detest grits).
We were literally humming while eating!

The only downside: the decor has not been touched since 1980. This restaurant deserves a way better venue, with much nicer interior. If it moved to the mall where NEWKS used to be, it could stay open from 10am-9pm and still be packed!

Do NOT miss out on this place.
PS: servers are amazing too!

Visited uptown Tuesday for the 1st time. The waffles and a yams were amazing very delicious. The mac cheese was OK but my friends hers was dry but mine was OK.
Collard greens were chopped in big pieces they were not good at all. Did not like the chicken that season was not good to me and they need to find another recipe. They definitely need more space for customers
tables too close together.

This place was pretty amazing.
I got the Sampler which gave me the chicken and waffles plus the shrimp and grits.
Probably the best I’ve tasted in my life!
My wife got the salmon and grits; again it was spectacular. We both cleared our plates. Nothing survived.
