Sooey's BBQ & Rib Shack

We had lunch there Labor Day around 2 o’clock. The place was a little rough the waitress , the nicest thing I can say about her, actually I can’t say anything nice about her. When we sat down she literally sneered at us, just threw the forks in the general area where people were sitting and when our drinks came she just threw the straws on the table, her overall attitude was horrible, unfriendly. Either she was angry about working Labor Day or she just absolutely hates her job. Now the good part of the reason why I gave it a three overall. I ordered the full rack of ribs for $23.99, I couldn’t believe the amount of ribs. One whole rack was enough for two really hungry guys. They were tender well seasoned and I honestly have to say we did not leave there hungry. So my overall review is horrible horrible service one of the worst waitresses I’ve ever had in my entire life but some of the best ribs I’ve ever had in my life so get a nicer waitresses keep making good ribs.

Really good barbecue. The sandwich was loaded with barbecue. The collards were very flavorful. Only thing is, if you order it to-go, ask for the bun on the side so it doesn't get soggy. Other than that everything was excellent.

Good for large families with a variety of menu choices for kids and grownups. Our waitress, Ginger, was fantastic making sure drinks were refilled and orders were complete.
I personally prefer Texas or Memphis BBQ but did enjoy their pulled pork. The place was packed when we first arrived but they were able to seat our party of ten (from 2 - 57) within 15 minutes. We were looking for a decent place to accommodate our crowd and Sooey’s was good.

Came here twice over our week vacation in the area, had to fight the urge to come back a third time! The food is delicious and comes out extremely fast! The servers are very polite and were on top of refills, requests and payment. Jordan, specifically, served us both times and was exceptional!

If you are in the area and like BBQ you have to stop here for lunch.
