AQUA Restaurant

It is a lovely place in the evening, when I was there. We ate on the porch. A few flies. I had corn- fish chowder. It was only ok, because the corn flavor was too strong for me.

We go every time we are in the outer banks. Always delicious and enjoyable. The sunsets are amazing from the back deck ore most anywhere in the restaurant.

It was so nice to sit outside. They have fans that help keep you a bit cooler and the insects away. The lobster Mac n' Cheese was great! Service was also very attentive and personable.

Had an amazing dinner here and enjoyed a lovely shrimp and grits with a scallop kicker. Everything was cooked to perfection and the Frenchman drinks were delicious! I believe Amy was our server, too many Frenchman's, and she was amazing!

I would have rated Aqua 5 stars except for the experience which follows.
Wednesday, July 31 six of us (4 adults and 2 children) had dinner starting with a 5:45 PM reservation.
Our server was Alice, who was attentive, professional and excellent at handling our group. Additionally we ordered multiple cocktails, various appetizers, all of us had full entrees followed by a number of deserts and after dinner drinks for all the adults. Needless to say all of us enjoyed the restaurant and were having a terrific time.
The loss of the 5 star rating occurred when we were approached by Carol (I believe) who asked us how dinner was. Of course we answered in the affirmative.
Immediately following Carol mentioned to us that a party was waiting for approximate 20 minutes for our table and it would appropriate for us to leave. Without thinking and not wanting to create an incident we left. Some of us still had drinks remaining and never had a chance to finish!
Suggesting that we leave is totally unacceptable and inappropriate. Not withstanding I would think that as a restaurant when you consider all the intangibles involved in the day to day operation; this is something that you would want to know about and make sure does not happen again.
