Black Pelican Oceanfront Restaurant

my wife and i are down from Upstate NY. I read reviews about the Blacken Pelican and we decided to try it we arrived about 6pm and was seated at our table right away. we placed our order and in a short time we had it. the waitress was friendly and quick. the meals came out piping hot. it was all very good. the only side i did not like was the red potatoes that came with my dish. I would highly recommend it. we out the door with full bellies by 7 pm

Nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating that has a view of the water. Staff was friendly but service was slow and they could use some additional experience in service (our waiter left dirty dishes on the table). The food was pretty good but some of the portions were small (for instance the clam and mussel appetizer only had 11 and they were very small) and they overcooked the tuna. They do have some unique options like fried okra. The drinks are tasty but kind of weak.

We have been here quite a few times. Been going to Outer Banks yearly since 2010. We always go here at least 1 time during our visit. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.The portions are large, service is very good, prices are reasonable for all you get. This is a very popular restaurant so I would advise arriving early by 5-5:30 or you might have a short wait. We visit in October and despite off season it does get crowded by locals as well as tourists. Parking can be a challenge again if going at peak times.

Absolutely delicious food. You could tell the chef had to really make an effort to make local seafood dishes something unique. Prices were competitive and I loved my white seafood pizza. Sadly discovered this place on our last day in the OBX, but will definitely have to go back when we visit family here again.

This place is a gem in the outer banks. Food was fresh, fast and delicious. Service was superb as well. I'm not sure how often they do this but they also had a value add with a magician walking around to entertain. It was a great experience for our first night here. Plus, they have an excellent selection of pies!
