(June 22, 2020, 8:20 pm)On June 17, 2020 we ate here. My Fried Oyster PoBoy was the best ever as well as the Clam Chowder and Fried Shrimp PoBoy. Our server, John with the long pony tail, was so cool and right on point. We will be back.Thank you

(August 15, 2019, 5:50 am)Some of the best seafood I've had anywhere! I'm from Elizabeth City, so I am very familiar with the Outer Banks, and I currently live in San Diego. While back on vacation, I stopped in the local favorite and it did not disappoint! The fresh blackened swordfish was superb, my grandmother ordered the stuffed flounder and it was delectable, even our kids loved their kids meals! Great times were had by all and the service was fast and friendly as well. Can't wait to go back.

Warmed up. Ate at the one in Avon and Total different experience. Avon gets 5 stars. I think here they did is poor execution. Food tastes good just warm and not hot. Service was good. -

(July 25, 2019, 8:20 pm)We decided to take a "spur of the moment"weekend trip to the Outer Banks with our kids. Neither of us had ever been to this island before. We decided to eat at this restaurant on our last day based on the reviews and the online menu looking very kid-friendly. I loved how laid-back the restaurant is. You don't feel like you have to be dressed up to eat here. There's also a little gift shop to the left of the entrance.
Our server was extremely friendly. He made sure that we had everything we needed and was super attentive. My fiance and I both got the "All You Can Eat" option. The shrimp and fried wish were perfect! The portion sizes are very large for an all you can eat meal. Other restaurants send out a tiny portion at a time. The kids absolutely LOVED the spaghetti. It came with a giant meatball that was flavorful. Next time I'm going to try their steamed offerings. I was getting some serious food envy when I saw some steamed crab legs go by.
We will definitely be coming back and making Dirty Dick's part of our tradition.
