Sugar Creek Seafood Restaurant

My wife and I visit the Outer Banks every year (if hurricanes stay away) the first week or second week of September. We come in on Sunday and eat at Sugar Creek and also eat there on Wednesday and then when we leave on Saturday. The best seafood and service every year - 25 years running!! Shrimp and flounder, plus crab cakes - the best you will find on the Outer Banks. Our children, that are now adults, eat there and love this place. We came for lunch and everything was wonderful. Prompt service, seating where we asked, and a very friendly server. We didn’t even get photos of our food, but it looked, smelled and tasted wonderful. I had the yellowfin tuna and my husband had fried flounder, the kids had a grilled chicken sandwich and no complaints anywhere. The cornbread they bring out with real whipped butter was basically dessert! Don’t miss out on this delicious place, and if the weather is nice try sitting outside so you can see the views!

We happened to this place by chance and I’m glad we did. Great food, good service and amazing views of the Sound. I would recommend if you’re looking for a nice place to sit down and relax. Bar looked good too, but wasn’t able to check out.

Sugar Creek was a great experience. Not only was the owner/manager (not sure which) cleaning and assisting customers, the wait staff was extremely pleasant. The whole place including bathrooms was cleanly. The view from the lower side of the restaurant is beautiful, especially during a storm. The food was great, including myself and all 5 other people in my group enjoyed their food although pricey (which is to be expected in a vacation area and at an upscale restaurant). The food was quick to be made and delivered and the wait staff is very attentive.
