Bill's Truck Stop Restaurant

Very nostalgic truck stop like a blast from time past. Food is good, prices are right and the service is excellent. Don't expect fancy here, this is genuine time machine truck stop venue. It's actually a nice change from the pilot and loves that I'm used to.

Stopped here with my son just to give him a break from being in the car after being in the car for several hours. My son is autistic and being confined for that long is difficult for him. After a short break from the car I'm stopping inside for just a minute to use the bathroom and grab him a snack we return to our car only to find the tire nearly flat. Unsure what to do I returned city building in the employee inside where I might be able to get some air for my tire, she responded by letting me know the shop downstairs is the only place she can think of and they've closed for the day. When I asked her where the nearest place for air was a gentleman spoke up and said for me to pull my car around to the shop door and he would put air in my tire for me. His name was David and he had already closed the shop for the day but was willing to help me out by putting air in my tire. After filling my tire he noticed there was a hole and air was leaking around a previous repair done to the tire he proceeded to re repair the hole in my tire even after I explained to him I had no cash with me to pay him for his time. David was unswayed and continued to repair my tire. After many thanks my son and i were able to get back on the road safely thanks to David!!! Thank you again David!!

I did not go in this trip but past trips have been ok. I've never really had a complaint. There hospitality was exceptional. They greeted us when we came in the door and were ready to make us feel welcomed.

A WONDERFUL little Mom and Pop place! Large dirt truck parking lot! VERY friendly staff! AMAZING food!. Showers, laundry, store, fuel. EXCELLENT prices too!!

Good Old Fashioned Soul Food

This is one of the last old truck stops in America, and it's easy to tell why it's still here. Sure the building is dated, but really... Who cares about all of that when you're looking for great food and awesome customer service.

The food is the real diamond in the rough. It is old fashioned soul food, with great serving sizes and fantastic prices. A meat, two sides and a biscuit and/or cornbread for 7.25... You can't beat it. And it's southern style food. We've eaten here a number of times and never left hungry or disappointed.

The waitresses are fantastic too. They don't let your drinks get empty, nor do they make you ask for anything. They're very friendly as well.

This place ranks super high on the Rikki Recommends rating scale.
