The Classic Family Restaurant

Better than the original that was destroyed in a fire. Same folks rebuilt in a new location and somehow it's better than before. Buffet style with home cooking aka white soul food. Great food good price fantastic people. Can't go wrong here.

Food was pretty good. I'm not big on buffets like this, but the food was decent and fresh. Crowds were large and it can hard to hear family members at your table.

Also it is very hectic at checkout and as a result I was charged double. It was an honest mistake and was corrected quickly after I realized and pointed out the mistake. I should have noticed before handing the cashier my card. But like I said I blame it on the hustle and bustle around the two cash registers and the noise level of the place.

Overall a good family style buffet.

The new location is much more spacious than the previous, but it is decorated poorly. The seating makes you feel isolated and has the same feeling as a hospital cafeteria. If you're looking for a comfortable, friendly environment to eat a nice meal, this is not the place. The food is alright.

Went here for the first time on a Friday night about a week ago. It had been highly recommended by several people we associate with. The selection and amount of food in the buffet is a great bang for your buck! The place was full even with an hour and a half until closing. There were only 2 setbacks... their mac-n-cheese needs some serious CPR...very watery with no flavor. Add some fresh cheese to that melt y'all! Pinterest is always a great place to look for southern homemade recipes ESPECIALLY mac-n-cheese. Second thing is their line to pay, only 2 cashiers and with all those people checkout took a while! Maybe adding some tech to the restaurant like people that are paying with card can have it swiped by their waitress at the table with a small tablet and the square app. Just a thought! Staff was extremely friendly and southern which is always a plus! Definitely a must visit if you're in the area!
