Barbecue Center of Lexington

The car hop was quick and friendly. The food was good and was delivered almost as quick as fast food. Tasted a lot better though. ???? The only thing I didnt like that got it 4 instead of 5 stars had nothing to do with the restraunt but rather the help they contracted outside, using ugly language that my special needs son could hear? What they do away from the pubic is one thing but in front of customers is another story.

BBQ and slaw(white) was amazing. Your choice white or red slaw. Super fast service, we ordered then the food arrived a few minutes later. Great lunch experience. In and out in about 20 mins. Would go back and recommend it highly for new to the area and if you are just wanting good food and service.

I just don’t understand. Maybe I’m missing something. But I really don’t think so. Once again I visit a BBQ place whose BBQ is devoid of smoke flavor. Nada. Nichts. Zip. Let me hasten to add that it does taste good—it is tender, juicy, and has a good flavor. But it’s not smoky. At all. I don’t know how my fellow Yelpers are detecting all the smoke flavor they are reporting. It’s just not there. Even pieces with bark had no smoke.

Sweet tea was excellent. House made pinto beans were good but needed salt. Red slaw was very good—not too acidic. Potato salad was average. Hush puppies had a nice flavor and were not greasy at all (which was nice), but they were just a wee bit dry and mealy inside.

I’ll keep searching.

I could not have had a better stop between Raleigh and CLT than this spot. The dip was amazing, pork and chicken moist, 100% all the way around. Not to mention the entire front of house was as nice as could possibly be.

Great American landmark. I've been coming here for years. Fresh awesome BBQ. Fries crinkle cut and freezer burnt. Hush puppies may be a better idea. Sorry, I don't eat hush pups. I'll get baked beans or something next time. Cute waitresses for sure. One in particular had me thinking dirty thoughts. ????
