Cook Out

I love the cookout in Lexington. Great food, Good milkshakes and hard working staff members there.. And fast service.Thanks Cookout for coming to Lexington.

Best fast food anywhere! And the Lexington, NC Cook Out has fried okra! With cheese bites and fried okra, it's almost heaven! Then just throw in a shake or a cheerwine float. Awesome!

It was okay. I've had better food from the other locations in surrounding areas. I think the hype has died down since it's finally arriving in Lexington. This was my first time here but having eaten at others and enjoying it I was expecting the same or comparable results. Not to be.

Standard Cook Out food but their service is lacking. At any other Cook Out, you can drive up to the menu and rattle off your entire complex order, then they say your total and you get exactly what you asked for.

At this one, you have to repeat your order, wait a bit, repeat it again, wait a bit more, then have your order read back to you to make sure it's correct. It feels like this particular location is staffed by people who have never worked in fast food, or are not used to Cook Out ordering pace. If I go to Cook Out in Salisbury, Winston, or Thomasville, I'm in and out quick.

Maybe they just need time to improve but right now it's lacking.
