    Don't judge a book by its cover. There is great food inside this place that once was home to a small grocery store. Someone just told me it is not where you start but its where you finish that counts. Doe's Down Home Cooking will satisfy that desire for a good home cooked meal. When we go there, we bring a crowd. They provide a good selection of meats and vegetable plates as well as sandwiches too. Great food served "piping hot".

    The quality of pork chops was awesome the first two times I went, but the last two it was not good. Soggy, oily, and smelled horrible. Even the okra I loved was soggy and oily.

    Down home, southern style family restaurant. Simple American fare, seasoned vegetables, the greens are classic soul food style, the fried whitefish is terrific. Service is pleasant and personal. The proprietors, Doe and Donna are nice people.

    I definitely enjoyed my food here and will be back for a second visit! I got the breaded buffalo wings, but I did not care for the sauce that much! It was extremely vinegary! Next time I will try another sauce! The food was hot, the fries were crispy, and the pecan pie was amazing! Definitely worth a visit!

    Loved it! Everything was delicious and serving portions filled me up! I will definitely be back!
