Nice staff. Good food, I had the pull pork(tiny bit bland, but good), bake potato (great), Green beans(also really good), a Brown Boar beer(good, especially after being on the road for 10 hours). My wife had the salad bar which she was very pleased with, and had plenty of options. The kiddo had the grilled chicken and fruit cup(dole).

Great atmosphere. Sat in the pub area...upon arrival thought maybe our casual dress from traveling would be inappropriate. It wasn't. Just a very nice setting, great options on the menu and very reasonable priced. Great alternative if you don't want fast food while traveling out of state. We ordered their pork nachos that we're so large and delicious that two of us couldn't eat all of it. And the best part.....only $10. They offered everything from appetizers, to sandwiches, to entrees. Wait staff was wonderful and accommodating. Definitely will stop next time we pass through.

Surprisingly very good food and very good service! We were visiting the Black River area so weren’t really sure what was close by and found this restaurant! We were a large group and had made a reservation. We were seated right away in one of the back room areas which was fine. We had two servers for our table and they were perfect! Prompt, friendly, efficient service. Food was very good! Some of us just got salad bar but it was a very well laid out, heavy salad bar! Others got the fried shrimp which was outstanding! Even the checks were split properly!

I stayed next door at the Holiday Inn Express on a business trip. When you walk to the restaurant you are greeted by a cool looking boar sculpture spitting water. I took a table in the bar area and perused their small but good beer selection. They have craft beers from NC breweries so I enjoyed the Edward Teach Three Sheets Double Witt and the Pig Pounder Boar Brown. The bar has plenty of TVs and a nice cozy ambiance. There were plenty of servers for a Wednesday night and I was waited on very quickly. The young lady server who waited on me had a great personality.

I asked her if the Shrimp and Grits were really, really good and she said it was her favorite, so despite the fact that I really needed to eat a salad I went for it.

I was not disappointed. The Shrimp and Grits were amazing. In fact I think it may have been in the top two or three I have ever had (my brother catches his own shrimp and cooks the best I've ever had). The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the grits had an amazing creamy smooth texture with a spicy (but not overly so) finish.

It was a perfect comfort food meal after a long day drive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a cozy and comfortable environment.
