Bar Virgile

Becoming one of my favorite spots in Durham. Try the deviled eggs, sinfully good! cool vibe, little dark but that adds to the speakeasy charm.

Sample spring menu attached for food. We had some of the vegetable dishes and they were amazing! Bar Virgile lives up to its amazing reputation. Bartenders are knowledgeable, creative, friendly, and skilled. Great vibe! We went on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty empty until around 5:15, from 5:30-6 it really filled up and people had to wait for table seating. Truly a must try for unique cocktails!

The cocktails are delicious, interesting, and amazing to witness being made. The bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable without being snobby. They are very welcoming and amazingly patient considering how busy they are. I've been to many bars where the bartenders are only slinging cans of beer who acted like asking a question was a huge waste if their time, but Bar Virgile will help you figure out what you want and make it with care and flair. Great experience.

My husband took me there this evening for my birthday and it was FABULOUS! Mixologist was marvelous. My food was mouth watering. Inside structure is what makes this place so unique.

First time there, only had the deviled egg app for food, but they were good and filling. Bartender was amazing and drinks were unique and on point! Wish we didn't live an hour away, can't wait to go back!!
