Great outdoor seating area for spacing yourself out from others during COVID. Love the beer selection.
One of my favourite bars in downtown Durham. The view and the sheer amount of seating can't be beat. Add in great food, cold beers and both an indoor and outdoor bar and the pub sells itself.
Good place for lunch. Lots of people seem to use it as a working space so they must not bother you too much if you stay for a long time. The vegetable tacos are good but a little dry and could benefit from a heavy cream sauce. Service was great!
Bar with old style feel to it featuring patio and a ton of outside picnic style seating outdoors when weather is nice. Food is pretty good but I wouldn’t call it great. They do have a number of menu options which is nice. Service is ok. I realize it is a bar but generally seems uninspired to me. Eclectic place though that fits Durham well.
I stopped by Bull McCabe's about 6:30 after work to get some dinner before a concert at the Carolina Theater downtown. Note that the goal was to originally eat at Beyu Cafe or Lucky's Delicatessen but both we're closed. The burgers were pretty nice and juicy... specifically the Pub Burger and the Sliders. I was accustomed to getting my burgers well done but the sliders were medium well and I must say I enjoyed them. I guess I'm a medium well guy now. On a side note, I did not enjoy the pineapple slaw so no recommendation for that. It was good to sit on the patio outside but make sure you sit where a fan is blowing so the flies won't bother you as much.
