A very busy place on a Saturday. We arrived early for a 8 pm reservation, we were seated at 8:35 did not leave the restaurant until 10:30. On some of our grandchildrens entree's they ran out of fruit. The manager and our waitress Maleah did a great job trying to make our experience better. However, to me the food was not at its best, good but not great!
Th restaurant's decor looks like a theme and the restaurant itself is clean. The food quality is good and the quantity is sufficient. What I didn't like was the seating arrangement inside the restaurant. Its a diagonal seating arrangement which means that if I am looking at my partner opposite to me, I am also unknowingly looking at another person sitting cross just behind my partner. It becomes a bit creepy when you are constantly talking to your partner and the other person feels that you are staring down at them. Request if the restaurant can consider this request and not lose customers unintentionally
This has always been one of my favorite places to eat. Our server was excellent and very friendly. He offer excellent suggestions and answered all our questions. The restaurant was not busy so there was no wait and the food was prepared quickly. I had the Ma Po Tofu which I enjoyed.
Three and a half stars would be more accurate. Good food. Free parking. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. And they know the menu. That's nice. Decent atmosphere though it can be a little loud so quiet, intimate conversation is not always possible. Thing is, while the food is good, delicious, in fact, it doesn't merit the price. Two people, one cocktail, one soft drink, two small, shared starters and one shared main dish - $50+. Tip was extra. I had no problem with that. Staff are great and deserve every penny. It's not that dinner for two @ $50 is unheard of, it's that the food doesn't meet match the price. It's good, just not quite that good. It's a bit too "American-y". Still, I recommend it and will return, at some point.
