Perfect place for sandwich and soup..this place is open for only lunch and packed..bread is good over here..near to work place

My boss dang near crashed trying to turn into this place on a whim at lunch the other day l and I have to say I can see why. The food is delicious and service is friendly and fast. Lots of vegetarian options also. We'll be back soon!

Definitely a keeper !!

A local sandwich store that has exceeded my expectations. Located in a dingy yet safe(thanks to Durham police office) strip mall in Durham, this food joint might come across as a place not worth stepping in. I bet you would feel otherwise when you leave.

They have reasonable sandwich options and more than a couple of vegetarian options. Their signature focaccia bread is as soft a pillow. We ordered the Grilled tomato mozzarella sandwich and the pimento cheese sandwich with soup. The vegetable soup was bit too salty for our liking. However, both the sandwiches were delightful. Their sandwiches are spicy but if that is not enough for you.. There are hot sauces to spice it up. I recommend the Papaya hot sauce.

Their sandwiches are definitely under priced when compared to their peers. Tasty sandwich on soft breads and as cheap as it can get.

My co-worker and I eat at Spicy Green about 4 times a month as we work at one of our Sister Sites a few times a month. So we always eat at Spicy Green and get our food to go as the restaurant is located right across the street from our work site. I love the food and the people are nice especially the young lady that handles the register. She always remembers our names and she is very sweet. She works hard and the rest of the staff does as well. But I think they are cutting themselves short. They could really improve their clientele if they modernized their restaurant, website, phone service, menu appearance and increased their staff.

They need help especially during the lunch rush. I have experienced a few times where I have waited while everyone received their food because I was forgotten and even a time where I waited much longer than I should have needed to wait. So if they could make some improvements they could really increase their foot traffic. Do I recommend Spicy Green? Yes. Just be sure you have time to wait. We will be eating there on Friday so hopefully it will not be too busy.
