A breath of fresh air to Winston Salem. The sushi was spot on. Delicious, fresh sushi with no soy sauce needed. Amazing dishes that were explained well by our waitress. Atmosphere; think dim lighting and chill vibes. We lucked out and met one of the owners Katrina and she was absolutely lovely. Perfect for GNO or a date night. Can’t wait to go back. Just what Winston Salem needed!!!

This place passes the vibe check. The atmosphere and ambiance are top-tier. We were lucky to experience service from a wonderful waitress, Vee. She described the menu, frequently checked on us, gave us the history of the place, and even mentioned local spots to visit afterward. She provided great service.

The food presentation was exceptional. The sushi was brought out on a slab of stone, and the wasabi tasted authentic—something real sushi lovers would appreciate. I highly recommend this place; Winston-Salem really needed it. I can’t wait to go back. We tried the surf and turf roll, acevichado roll, and the Luna tuna roll, pictured in that order. They were all delicious, but if I had to choose my favorite, it would be the Luna Tuna—it had a tangy spice that was so appealing to my palate.

I also can't forget about the Otoro nigiri. I’ll be honest, I had to research Otoro at the table and discovered it’s the fattiest and most luxurious part of the maguro (bluefin tuna), located in the belly area. I had to try it, and it was speaking my language! Try this place—you will love it. We are going back for sure.

The Atmosphere is great, I felt like I was in the middle of a big city in a nice hideaway. The sushi was some of the best tasting I’ve had. Up there with top places I’ve tried in San Francisco and Denver. I really appreciate the Peruvian influence which gives the sushi some amazing flavors with many different layers. I will be sure to be back and I look forward to becoming a regular.

Sushi Rose is a newly-opened restaurant in downtown Winston-Salem with a Japanese and Peruvian flare. Upon walking in I noticed the clean, minimal, sophisticated atmosphere, which I loved.
    Food we ordered:
Appetizer shrimp tacos - excellent flavor and portions. Very mild but flavorful!
Bruleé Signature Roll - crab, cucumber and plantain. Great flavor and the plantain added a little bit of sweetness.
Lomo Saltado - this was a complete meal in itself. Wagyu beef strips with vegetables and rice and topped with French fries! The beef was tender and flavor mixed with the rice and vegetables was absolutely delicious.
Mango Mousse Cake - this was the perfect dessert to top off a great dinner. The flavor was very light and satisfying - not too sweet.
Our wait staff were excellent - friendly and energetic!
We will definitely go back to try other dishes!
Reservations highly recommended! There is a suggested dress code as well.

This is truly a GEM in Winston Salem! Combinations of beautiful culture colliding together to create what feels like the perfect restaurant for Winston Salem.
The staff welcomes you instantly as if you are a member of family. The owners are known and talk to you. It is truly one of the most amazing spots. The food was incredible. When you don’t have condiments on the table you know your food is about to be immaculate. I would take any sushi lover to this restaurant! You will not regret your time at Sushi Rosé
