La Botana Mexican Restaurant

We've been coming here for years and tonight was a total change from where they've been trending. In the past we always told friends "Amazing food, terrible service". BUT tonight we got the best service!! Our server tonight was Ella and she was fantastic. Got our drinks and chips in only moments after seating. Appetizer followed very quickly. Also, someone commented about vegetarian options - you have to ASK for the vegetarian menu - which is HUGE. 4 full pages of veg options, many of which can easily be made vegan. We've always loved this place but the change in service level has renewed our loyalty to this hidden gem in Winston Salem NC.

Great Chicken soup! Nice menu choices that are all good. An upscale Mexican restaurant with great service. The food is cooked to order but well worth the wait.

Discovered this restaurant approximately one year ago.....the food and service are great! Frequent daily specials. Quality dishes and selections. Good background music, smaller restaurant that reflects its family ownership. Once you find it, you'll be back!

If you've ever been to Mexico then you would know that this the true deal of authentic Mexican food. So fresh and perfectly seasoned. It was so nice to eat here because it was NOT a watered down American styled Tex-Mex version of food. The recipes they use are top rated. No wonder they've won best Mexican restaurant each year since 2011. The service and atmosphere was great too - and the music was right on hip and chill. I will most def be back.
