Love this place. Great food and nice people ! By far way better than the food at the Bruke Street location downtown W-S.

Quite possibly the only place in Winston Salem (maybe in NC) to get New York pizza and pizza "companions". Food is always good, and delivery is always quicker than they estimate. The one small disappointment I have is that the pizza by the slice pizzas always seem to have been left out too long, but that won't stop me from coming back.

Until today I had pretty good experiences. Today my garlic knots were cold so I returned them. The cook didn't have a word to say. He just threw them in the trash and put more in the oven. He walked away so a 2nd cook checked on them after a few minutes of working on something that looked like a broken piece of equipment. He barely used any soap when he washed his hands and as if that wasn't bad enough just before he opened the oven door to check on the garlic knots he played with his red hair, twirling it around with his fingers, then he proceeded to touch the garlic knots with his bare hands to see how hot they were. I was done! I told the cashier to throw the knots in the trash. I no longer wanted them. I didn't want to argue or cause a scene so I didn't ask for a refund. I just won't return. The cashier was pleasant but the 2 cooks could use some more training on customer service, how to properly wash your hands and why you wash your hands.

Burke Street makes a good pizza. I have literally been struggling for two days now with whether to give it three stars or four stars. I really enjoyed it, so I am going with 4 stars even though there are some places I have given a four star rating to places that I like better. But because I can’t really put my finger on what it is that makes it not quite as good, I will err in their favor. And try it again sometime. Meanwhile, they actually put garlic on their pizza when you ask for it! The other toppings were fine, and crust was very good. I need to take a closer taste at the sauce. The interior had a college-esque, dim, millennial vibe.
