Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews

Great place to eat! Service was excellent, minus the hostess not being at their station to seat us for 10 minutes. After seating, it was smooth sailing. Will come back again.

Perhaps I just got lucky. I don’t patronize a large number of chains, but my daughter wanted Red Robin for her birthday, so why not? Had I read the reviews beforehand, I probably would have begged, bribed, or badgered my way into going somewhere else. But I didn’t. And with just a couple of glitches wound up having an enjoyable experience. On the positive side, my food was very good. My burger had a great flavor and was cooked correctly. The fries were very good as well—fresh with a nice crispy outside and soft inside. While the price is high, that may well be canceled by the bottomless fries option. However, the service was very slow for an uncrowded Tuesday evening. Thus, I can see the point other Yelpers make about service—what must it be like when busy if it is like this when empty?

We did a birthday party here and tried to make reservations, were told they don't accept them, but to come half hour early and they could seat us together, so 2 of our party showed up an hour ahead of time to make sure everything ran smoothly. It didn't. We still ended up waiting 45 minutes beyond the hour..with 2 toddlers.
The server was good, even though we did run out of drinks several times, i just put that down to the large party, the food was good. Long story short, if it's just a few people and you don't mind waiting, it's good. If you have a large party, go somewhere else!
