Vin205 Bistro

Prices that won't break you. Food and atmosphere reminds me of Kansas City.

I stumbled upon this place out as I was seeking an acai bowl from the business next door. Great selection of wine. Other local businesses are supported through Vin205 Bistro. A place where you can sample wine then enjoy your choices with a nice meal or dessert. I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was perfect for a romantic date, to spark conversation, and/or a hideaway to view sports events.

Food is very good. Menu is small. There is however chalk board specials. Worth a try.

You go to a place like Vin205 for the wine, and the wine is excellent. That said, they also pitch themselves as a great place to eat, and while the food is good, they need to be more on top of their game getting the dinner menu on the board. It should be up at 5 p.m., when they open for dinner, but even though we arrived at 5 the menu wasn't on the board until almost 5:30, and I ended up ordering something because I was hungry -- only to find out that I would have ordered something else had the menu been on the board. It was good, but again, they need to be more on top of their game. Still, their wine is excellent!

Great selection of wine and beer, including the ability to try flights of both. Many places have beer flights, but Vin205 Bistro has wine flights, too! They have a large selection of wines on tap - which means they stay fresh for your tasting. The food was also good and the staff very friendly. Stop by the connected wine store for an even larger selection of great wines.
