Staff is great! Both the breaded mushrooms and shrimp tasted like frozen. Fettuccine Alfredo and Tiramisu were great.
Always get great service and great pizza. The prices are fantastic and the servers and all employees are always friendly and prompt. I love this place. I eat here at least once a week.
Winston-Salem location. Food is great; atmosphere is nice; and service is most excellent.
UPDATE: So, my wife says, "where do you want to go for your birthday dinner?" "Coppola's," I reply. I'm thinking about Chicken Marsala. Well, they had a new special, Salmon Genovese--I think that's what it's called. When I say new, I mean, I had the first plate. Grilled salmon, penne in a nice spinach-garlic sauce, and of course their most excellent bread. Superb! If you have a chance, I recommend it. :)
The latest destination on my carryout pizza binge took me to Coppola’s where I picked up a 15 inch pie. Things did not start off all that well. First, the once thriving Reynolda Commons shopping center now has only a few shops remaining open and looks very sad and vacant. This is not Coppola’s fault of course, but things didn’t improve much when I walked in and requested a takeout menu. I was told they were out so I requested to borrow a regular copy so that I could sit in my car and review it. This request was rejected and I was told the menu was online. Is menu theft a problem in this area??? What if I didn’t have a phone?? This seemed like weak customer service to me.
Anyway, let’s just talk about the food. Definitely genuine New York style with a pleasing taste. However, the toppings were distributed unevenly, the garlic was nearly absent, and I’m not sure it was completely done. The pizza turned into a sloppy mess, especially when trying to do the “New York fold”. This is just yet another 3 star pizza in the western Triad. There are better out there. See my other reviews.
Coppola's is Italian food done right! No matter what you're craving for in Italian fare, it is prepared with the finest ingredients. The servers here are very attentive as well. I have eaten here on several occasions. I love the casual, warm atmosphere. Their prices are very reasonable as well. Give them a try and you'll be glad you did.
